The Library Information System

The library information system is a client-server type of distributed system, which is used throughout the library for ordering, acquisition, cataloging, circulation and interlibrary loans (ILL) of library materials. The system is connected with the National Institute of Informatics (NII), the national shared catalog database and the ILL system. The OPAC can be accessed from PC's in the library, from workstations and terminals throughout the campus and, via the World Wide Web, from all over the world.
