We can see the principal "Sumita", pupularly known as the model of "Tanuki - a raccoon dog" in the novel of "Botchan" by Soseki Natsume at the center of the first row, and "Uranari - a fruit grown near the top end of the vine"(Mr. Ishikawa) in this photogragh.
It had been said that both the character of "botchan" and "Madonna" were based on actual persons.
