Issoh-an (Santoka Taneda)

"I'm walking in the spring breeze
       with a bowl to beg for money in my hands"

This monument was built to celebrate the 33th aniversary of his death, in 21th Mar. of 1973(Showa 48).(falls on the Vernal Equinox Day).
It was built by the Society of Santoka manifestation. Santoka's own writing.
This Haiku appeared in the record of 13th May of 1933(Showa 8) of "Gocho-diary II" when he pilgrimaged in Murozumi, Yamaguchi Prefecture. This Haiku makes a pair with the Haiku "I'm walking in the autumn breeze with a iron bowl in my hand".
