"Muddy water becomes clear while flowing" (Santoka)
This monument was built in 10th, Oct. of 1990(Heisei 2).
This day was the day before the 51th anniversary of Santoka's death.
He composed this Haiku about one month before his death, and modeled his life after the Himata-river flowing in front of "Isso-an Hermitage".
