Sankou Shrine (Funegatani-cho)

The poet, Kohei Ioki's real name was "Masanori".
He was born at Higashi-Nagato, Matsuyama, in 1895 (Meiji 28).
He studied under Shouryou Yoshiue."
He published many tanka in the poetry, "Nigitazu" in Matsuyama Prefecture that published by Shizu Ohno.
He was a quite free and easy poet who composed many tanka while engaging in gas Company in Osaka as a workman, during the War.
He published the poetry commemorated his 60th birthday (published in 1955), and the poetry commemorated his 77th birthday (published in 1960).
He died on Aug.21, 1960 (Showa 35) at the age of 75.
