Kashi Tachibana: He, his real name is Kaoru Tachibana, worked for the village office of Ukena, Onsen-gun. He studied haiku under Kyoshi Takahama and had a role as a selector for haiku magazine "Kaki". (Kaki means persimmon.)
Also there are haiku monuments of Senryu Yamada, a head priest and Mokuzen Sakai in the precincts of the temple.
