The halfway to Bansui-so

 "A bamboo shoot has grown
         Taller on the stone wall
               in this Castle Hill"

This Haiku monument was built to thinking of old Kyokudo's characters, on 7th Oct. of the first anniversary of his death.

The characters on this monument was written in Kyokudo's own writing.

This Haiku was composed by Kyokudo at the age of 30, and appeared in the No.7 of Matsuyama version "Hototogisu"(published in June, 1897-Meiji 30).
