Touei-ji Temple

Kunkadan's real name is "Fukujiro". He was born in Yodo Village, Iyo County, in 1891 (Meiji 24).
At first, he looked to Hekigotoh Kawahigashi and Seisensui Hagiwara , and later he got to know Fuhsei Tomiyasu and wrote for the Haiku magazine "Hototogisu".

In 1932 (Showa 7), he started Haiku magazine "Hechima", on the suggestion of Soryu Noma, and made Fuhsei Tomiyasu welcome as the selector of Haiku. He had edited the magazine till the end of his life and made a great contribution in the spread and progress of Haiku in Ehime Prefecture.
