Senshu-ji Temple

"At daybreak, the drum of the Hot spring begin to ring
echoing to the water circulate around the hill
connected to the era of Manyo"

It may be able to interpret that the hill is all over the hill behind the present Dogo-spa.
"the water circulate around the hill" may be the moat surrounding Dogo Park.
"Shinro-kaku" was built on the roof of the three layered main building of Dogo-spa , in that the drum rang to let people know the opening at the half past six in every morning.
He composed this Tanka (a Japanese poet of thirty-one syllables) feeling something like Iyo of Matsuyama with this sound of drum.
This Tanka in Senshuji Temple is the one of Yoshisada Hirota's third correction of Tanka "Enun-shu", and the characters on this monument is the Yoshisada's own hand writing.
He was elected the president of "Ehime Araragi-kai - Araragi Association in Ehime" that he had established. For thirty six years, he had filled the post of the president and consolidated the foundation of the association.
The members of the association built this monument giving high praise to his distinguished services on May of 1992 (Heisei 4).
