"Teiregi in Takai ", appeared the folk song "Iyo-bushi" has botanical name, "O hbatanetsukebana"that grows wild in clean water.
It is the water glass of beautiful green and has bracing sharp taste, so it is indispensable to the garnish of sliced raw fish (Sashimi).
It was a sweet taste of country home for Shiki.
This monument was built in front of Sairinji Temple, the holy temple of 48th s acred place in Shikoku, on the auspicious day of Oct. of 1963 (Showa 38).

Cardamine regelina Miq. (C.Scutata Thunb) Alias "Ohbatanetsukebana".
Family of rape. A perennial plant.
 It grows by the mountain stream, in the swamp land or at the water's edge.
 It called "Ohobatanetsukebana" because its leaves and stem are larger than
 "Tsukebana". It is hairless as a whole and its stem is green and soft.
 The stem on the edge of roots trains over the ground.
 It is in use for the cuisine of the district of Dogo and Matsuyama.
 It grows at any water's edge in the district of Matsuyama, but that obtained
 from the clean water flowing out of Takai-gyo-fuchi in Kume, have sharp
 taste remarkable and are eaten with relish from old times.
 This district that use such plants for food, have much of novelty all over
 the country.                                                              
 "Teiregi" appeared in the folk song "Iyo-bushi" is this species.
