(Shurindo) Nomura

The theme of this Haiku is the brilliant spectacle of spring day when all flower plant are in full bloom.
This Haiku was composed in the regular spring meeting of Haiku association, "Izayoigin-sha" in 1915 (Taisho 4). At that time, Shurindo was in his 23rd calendar year.
This monument was built in the schoolyard of the school, but it was transferred to the present place when the old school house was moved in 1951 (Showa 26).
The characters on this monument was his own handwriting.
