The schoolhouse of Matsuyama Junior Highschool viewed from the moat toward 2 ban-cho in the east side. (at the time when Soseki Natsume had come to Matsuyama.)
The large two-stories building on the left side was Main Building. The graduation photogragh as of 1896(Meiji 29) in that Soseki appeared, was taken in front of this Main Building.
The building on the right side was the waiting room for pupils. The main gate was viewed on the right end of the hedge of trifoliate oranges.
